My name is Nickolay Mitev and I believe that I'm one of those happy people that have devoted themselves to what they love to do.
My interests are mainly in photographing people. The Eiffel Tower or a beautiful landscape will change very little in time and will be present in many photo albums. A candid photograph of a person that reflects a moment of their life is unique and can never be recreated.
I live with my wife in Sofia, Bulgaria. I also have a degree in Law, but I assist only in marriages, not in divorces. :-)
I speak English and Russian.
My photographic equipment includes two Nikon DSLR cameras, fast lenses, flashes, loads of batteries and memory cards. :)
I also always shoot with a big smile on my face! :)
It is an incomparable pleasure to reflect in a photograph an inmost moment, a joyful emotion of a person's life. The wedding day gives a lot of opportunities of that kind for a short period of time. And even more - unlike landscape photography, here you don't have the right to a second capture - that makes the results from your work even more unique and precious.
In my shots I try to capture the dynamics, the development of the wedding day - from the preparation of the bride in the hair salon to the wild dances late in the evening on the dancing floor. I accentuate on the photojournalistic approach in wedding photography, but I also apply the traditional one. In that way you receive a whole palette of different shots - portraits, set-ups, close-ups, reporting shots, etc. My goals is achieved if the photographs can tell the story of this inmost moment - and to tell it in a way that cannot be described even on 1000 pages.
